A native of Rochester New York Michael Jones is the younger of two children of Robert and Willie Mae Jones.

Pastor Jones received the Lord as his personal savior at the Powerhouse C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Bishop Leroy Anderson General Board Member C.O.G.I.C. It was at Powerhouse where his spiritual foundation was laid and he began his spiritual development. It was in Little Rock Arkansas under the spiritual tutelage and pastorage of Bishop LT Walker Sr.  that has led him to where he is now. Elder Jones was ordained by Bishop Walker.

Pastor Jones is the founder of Pressing Towards the Mark COGIC located in Pflugerville Texas. This ministry was started, and incorporated as a not for profit 501C3 in September 2005;

Pastor Jones Holds a BS in Business Management from RIT, a Masters in Management from Nazareth College, and a Graduate Certificate from Cornell University in Industrial Relations/Human Resources. He has also taken courses from Zoe University.

Pastor Jones is now under the Pastoral covering of Bishop S.E. Iglelhart Texas Southwest Jurisdiction where Pastor Robert Ellis is the Superintendant.

He is married to the lovely Melinda Kendrick Jones. He is a loving father and grand father.
